Nice work again guys

As to the stealing aspect, we've all heard the "Sliver Queen" debacle from the start of the year, and I really hate the fact that it's still going on. I admit it, I'm fairly bad at looking after my cards, especially if its a draft, I'll leave my sideboard and deck on the table all the time. It's something I just don't think about enough. So for my sake, look out for thieves!!

I love the Sanity Grinding deck, I personally think it needs 1 Scalplexis for style points, but thats just because I love the card, not for it's efficiency. For red, maybe put in Wall of Air? Won't stop Demigod, but stops all their other creatures. And if you do decide to splash White, maybe Luminesce or Forge Tender.

I look forward to the next one

Nice episode again guys.... team draft sounds like a blast ( and you only need 6 players ).... so extra points for it there...

Man-o-war..... not sure good this would be in the current format ( I have used it in winston draft a couple times ), and it seems like it might be ok in a agressive-tempo based deck ( 1 drop, 2 drop - bash, man-o-war to bounce your blocker - bash, sower to steal it this turn - bash... ) but maybe not elsewhere ??? I didn't see it get used first time around though....

I have never had anything stolen...that I can remember, and I am very slack* about where I leave my cards folders.

I once thought I had lost a card from Planar Chaos after a trade at OGC, I remembered someone pulling it out (I didn't want to trade that card) and then later realised I never put it back and thought I must have left it on the table to get picked up by someone else :(

Then about 5 weeks later I was doing another trade and got to my coldsnap section, there was the card in question. Actually felt really good that I had left the card on the table (prolly distracted by something else) but the guy I was trading with made the effort to put it back in my binder.

Anyway, it is a relevant issue and with such a small community it is really uncomfortable to have 4 major thefts (I had forgot about the Sliver Queen) in 12 months.
Plus makes me uncomfortable because I am pretty absent minded and likely to pick up someones sideboard or deck box accidentley thinking its some of my crap (since I leave my junk all over the place).

Another reason I want a babysitter/judge/TO walking around the tourneys.

*I started leaving a lot of my good rares (especially shock lands) at home and often missed out on trades because "I have that card...but I left it at home". But without getting distracted by trades I do play a lot better.

Edit: Glad you clarified because like Cameron I was thinking, hmm can't be the Jackaways there awesome.

worth noting that unearth is actually pretty sweet in limited in the right deck, largely because a) it gives you easy devour options and b) they function kinda like burn spells when they come back, which is good if you're packing pingers and blightnings

in regard to team drafting: you mention the teams sit opposite...that sounds wrong to me. doesn't it go ABABAB with A being a dude from team A, B being a dude from team B? hence how you can "hook" people in team draft, pass them a good card in one colour then jump into that colour

I did use the word opposite which was unclear, but I did pretty clearly explain the ABABAB and that the person on your left and right were opponents...

Haha that's right I remember. It was a BW AGRO deck and he took some cards out to put wraths in and playtest it. What a freak...

I listen to another podcast where people submit one minute segments, some of which are absolute gold. Its not too short at all. And their podcast goes for 60 minutes.

Like, if you wanna do something fine, but if you don't, then don't.

If anyone else wants to submit a 1-minute segment, on anything really, I'd be happy to listen and probably add it to the show. :D

i'm happy to do something. like, maybe i'll come up with an idea that would suit a 1 minute thing, and i'll talk to you. but i think it's pretty dumb to restrict me down to one minute if i actually have something to say

i don't actually have anything i particularly want to talk about at the moment, so it's a moot point either way. but 1 minute does not at all suit my style of writing/talking - i'm about as far as you can get from concise. i don't see that as a disadvantage, but it definitely is when you have to fit something into 1 minute, especially if you want to actually make it meaningful

so yeah, i basically interpreted your 1 minute response as "thanks, but no thanks." maybe that's not how you intended it, but given your inflexibility in talking about anything else, i'm going to assume you're not interested in a contribution from me. which is fine!

(i think this post serves as fairly good proof of my inability to be concise)

Getting Dave to do a spot, my god it would be like inviting a celebrity for a cameo. Pretty sure a podcast of that quality I may even get off on.
